We believe the hard work of every employee impacts the guest's experience and is part of making a guest's day better, that is why we share tips amongst the entire crew (excluding MGMT and ownership).
After training, we guarantee every employee a minimum of $11 per hour. We expect that number to be much higher. We are targeting a $15 per hour average. At times last summer our crew averaged above $20 per hour, but every employee can rest assured his or her pay will never fall below the $11 guarantee.
At the Goat we don't have cooks and servers or hosts and dishwashers. We have crewmembers. Every crewmember is trained to execute every position in the restaurant. This lets us run with more flexibility and efficiency . It also makes it possible to better help our fellow crew and understand what is happening in other areas of the restaurant.
